What the easing of Covid restrictions means for buying or selling your property.
From the 19th of July the UK has made its most dramatic steps in its easing of Covid restrictions. With these change in restrictions happening at both national and local levels it can be difficult to track what guidelines and rules you need to follow.
Here at Aston Knowles we have worked with the
UKs Working Safely During Coronavirus (COVID-19): Guidance published on 14th July 2021
to create our own guide to staying safe whilst we help you to buy, sell or rent a property.
Before confirming any appointments
We will ask you a series of questions before we can confirm any appointments.
o Do you have or have you had Covid-19 in the last 4 weeks?
o Are you in self-isolation?
o Do you have the following symptoms?
– A cough
– A high temperature
– Shortness of breath
o Are you aware of being in contact with anyone who has Covid-19 or anyone who has displayed the above symptoms?
If the answer is YES to any of these, we will postpone the appointment, until you are able to attend without risk.
Viewings and Appraisals
During your appointment, be it for a viewing or appraisal, we will take the following measures.
o We request that agent, vendor and viewer continue to wear masks, during an appointment.
o A distance of 2m should be adhered to where possible.
o We request that only 2 people attend each appointment, excluding the agent. Please discuss with us if you require more people to attend.
o All parties must sanitise their hands immediately after entering the properties.
o All internal door handles and contact points will be wiped down before viewers enter.
o Where possible all windows and doors will be opened before entering a property.
o Viewings are subject to approval by the owner of the property.
o Back to back viewings will be spaced to provide sufficient time to reduce contact and sanitize contact points.
o If any of these precautions are ignored, we reserve the right to deny access to the property and cancel the appointment.
Just like buying or selling a home, we know that everyone’s circumstances are different, and that these guidelines may not be applicable to everyone or may provide challenges for others. So just like buying or selling your home, please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have and we will work with you to ensure that you get a safe buying and selling experience. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-covid-19
