This remarkable home is steeped in history, dating back to the sixteenth century. With over 19,000 square foot in area, the hall boasts extensive living, sleeping and working accommodation complemented throughout by magnificent original features dating back to c1550. The name Haselour is Saxon in origin and derives from the word hazelnut, chosen because of the large number of hazelnut trees grown on and around the land. The castle is home to thirteen bedrooms and boasts working stables and its own private tavern. Its historic past is clear in the many secret staircases, curved doors and walls, arched windows, and even hidden doors.
